코 진균증
Cryptococcosis neoformans
- 주로 고양이에 감염.
- 호흡기로 감염되며 다른 장기로 전이될 수 있음.
- CNS, eyes, skin, subcutaneous tissues에 증상 나타남.
Aspergilllosis
- Aspergillus fumigatus
- 많은 동물에서 비강 감염 - 주로 개, 드물게 고양이.
- 종양, 이물, prior trauma, 면역 결핍 등이 2차적으로 발생할 수 있음.
임상적 특징
- Aspergillosis : 어린 수컷 강아지에서 가장 흔함. 2주~몇 달에 걸친 만성적인 콧물 발생.
- 콧물은 mucopurulent (w or w/o hemorrhage), 혹은 purely hemorrhagic.
- Turbinate bone을 녹임 → 얼굴을 만지는 데 통증을 느끼거나, 콧잔등의 depigmentation과 ulceration.
- 전신적인 aspergillosis는 주로 Aspergillus terreus 에 의해 일어남.
진단
- 기회감염 → 컨디션이 떨어질 만한 요소를 고려 (underlying nasal disease)
- 영상 진단 : well-defined lucent areas (조직이 녹아 어둡게 보임)
- 비경 검사(Rhinoscophic abnormalities) : nasal turbinate의 erosion, fungal plaques (white-to-green)
- Positive serum antibody titers
